College Photography show at Banana Factory in Bethlehem - call for entries. . .
The Banana Factory is featuring the InVision Photography Festival, a festival highlighting nationally and internationally known photographers. We are hosting a photography competition for colleges, highlighting the artistic talents of students in Banana Factory’s Banko Gallery. This exhibition is an excellent opportunity for students to exhibit their works in a professional setting.
Eligibility:
Students can submit up to 5 images on a CD for jurying. Entry fee is $25 for up to 5 submissions. Each entry must be an original in concept, design, and execution and may not violate any U.S copyright laws.
The final decision regarding the suitability of all artwork included in the exhibition will be made by professionals from regional institutions at the time of the installation. Judges include photographer Larry Fink and Executive Director of Lehigh University Art Galleries, Ricardo Viera.
All submitted work must be ready to hang with hooks, wire or other type of hanging apparatus. All work must also be labeled on back with name and title. Entries must be no larger than 48 inches by 48 inches to the outside dimensions of the frame or mat. Shipped work must include return shipping.

Sept 29 Deadline for submission of CD with up to 5 images and entry fee of $25.
Oct 11 Notification of acceptance or un-acceptance will be made by e-mail
Oct 22-24 Drop off of accepted work between the hours of 9am-5pm
Oct 30 Exhibition opens
Nov 5 Opening reception from 6-9pm
Nov 21 Exhibition closes
Nov 22-24 Pick up work from 12-7pm

Chad States at PPAC
Bucks Photo faculty member Chad States will be lecturing on his latest project at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center this Thursday, Sept 16 from 7:30-8:30. The lecture is free and open to the public. More information is available through the PPAC website here.
