Frankencamera. . . another leap forward in digital photography


Researchers at Stanford University have developed what they are calling the "Frankencamera." This new camera uses open source code (rather than proprietary software) in order to function. The use of open source code allows for infinite customization. The developers are also attempting to make a camera which will have an extended dynamic range.
